The flax used in our Dorset and Gentry Linen Shirts is grown and processed in France, using premium long-staple fibres rather than tow flax made from shorter fibres. Those longer fibres can be spun into a smoother, stronger yarn, giving the finished fabric a cleaner feel and better durability. It's a solid place to start, and you'll notice the difference every time you put the shirt on.

A SMOOTHER SPIN

Our linen yarn is wet spun, a process that creates a smoother, more compact yarn than traditional dry spinning. The payoff is a cleaner-looking fabric with a more refined hand feel. Less rough around the edges. More of what you want from a good linen shirt.
